Hey there, STEM enthusiasts! I’m Audra Fields, a passionate woman in STEM and the creator of HerSTEMspiration. With over 15 years of experience as a chemist, a Master’s in Education, and a deep commitment to making STEM exciting and accessible, I’m thrilled to share my journey with you.
From the Lab to the Classroom: Inspiring Women in STEM
My STEM journey began in the lab, where I honed my skills as a chemist. However, my passion for education led me to transition to the classroom. Now, I teach high school STEAM and Physics, inspiring the next generation of innovators through hands-on projects and real-world applications. My greatest joy comes from empowering girls and young women to break barriers and pursue fulfilling STEM careers. I firmly believe that representation matters, and by sharing my own story as a woman in STEM, I aim to show young women that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. In my classroom, I strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where girls feel encouraged to explore their curiosity,ask questions, and take risks.

When I’m not empowering students in the classroom, you can find me embracing my other passions. I’m a devoted wife,mom, and glam-ma, and I cherish those special moments with my family. Additionally, I enjoy expressing my creativity through crafting, sharing my journey to health and wellness, and finding joy in fashion. As a woman of faith, I actively serve in my church community and strive to live out my values in every aspect of my life.
